TN Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council

Applications open 10/1/2024.

Some of us are in large city schools, others are in small rural communities. Some are well off financially, others had to fundraise all year just to have a program. Some schools are predominately one race, others are very diverse and multi-cultural. Some schools are private, some are public. We all have different experiences and upbringings, challenges and talents. Here at EdTA, Tennessee chapter, we want to celebrate those differences and foster the mindset that there is always more to learn.

We are creating a brand new Council so if diversity and inclusion are things you are passionate about, we want you to be on this council. You get the chance to bring your ideas to the table and help educate our troupes and members in a safe and positive way. Theater is a community of people who think outside the box, explore different characters and cultures, and push themselves in new genres and skillsets. We need those kinds of people to bring fun and informative resources to our troupes. more information is below.
